Allyson Turner has filed a copyright infringement suit, claiming that Sony's film division stole her idea for the Jennifer Lopez film, "Enough". The 2002 film centers on a waitress who escapes her abusive husband, takes self-defense training and then sets out to kill him. Turner says that the film lifted elements of her script "Even Exchange," which she sent to Sony for consideration, without receiving any credit. She first became aware of the similarities after her friends congratulated her on having her concept realized. Turner is seeking $5 million in damages. Enough earned approximately $39 million during its run in North American theaters.
